In my old post Akash Tablet Vs IPad 2 Vs Galaxy Tab Vs Reliance 3G Tab I have provided review on Akash tablet vs other branded Tabs.
First version of Akash tablet was having lot of cons like
- Resistive touch screen display which is not quite appealing.
- It hangs many times – IIT students start calling it calculator !!!!
- This tablet is not having 3G connectivity.
- There is no provision to make phone calls. That means GPRS can’t be connected to it.
- Battery life of this tablet is given as three hours.
Due to these cons Datawind is going to launch a new version of Akash called akash tab 2 Ubislate 7. Datawind is about to release a new improved version of Aakash tablet in the month of January 2012. So, those who want to purchase this tablet in the open market i.e. without subsidy price can for Ubislate 7 tablet to get improved features with less price difference.
